Staff
Staff profiles
Every person on your team has a profile at your venue. Their title, hourly rate, and hire date. The title is yours to define. Bartender, mixologist, bar manager. Gastova does not impose categories. Permissions come from task assignments, not from what you call someone.
Competencies
You know what your team can do. Gastova does too. The system uses those competencies when building schedules and when checking who fits a station's responsibilities.
Employment terms
Each staff member has a contract at your venue. Contracted hours per week, a maximum the venue must not exceed, minimum rest between shifts, and a minimum shift length.
Salaried and flexible
Most staff have a minimum number of hours per week. The system ensures those are met first. Remaining shifts go to flexible workers until the staffing level or budget is reached.
Overtime
Each contract can have its own overtime rules. A daily threshold, a weekly threshold, each with a multiplier. A shift that crosses a threshold is split at the boundary. The first hours at base rate, the rest at overtime rate. The schedule shows the cost impact as you assign shifts.
Leave management
Your team requests time off through the app. You approve or deny. The system tracks remaining days against the allotment you configured. Venues can define their own leave types beyond the standard ones.
Time tracking
Your team clocks in and out. You see hours, breaks, and the difference between the schedule and what actually happened.
Staff dynamics
Two people had a conflict and cannot work the same shift. Tell the system once. Every schedule is checked against that. Some pairings need a supervisor present. Some pairings work well and are preferred when possible.
Probation
New hires can have a probation period. The system tracks the end date and reminds you before it arrives.
